Bible study should happen no matter what else is happening in the world. Studying God’s Word with others is encouraging, enlightening and inspiring. Whether online or in person, DVD-driven or technology free, here are some great options for Fall Bible Study:

In-Person and On Campus Bible Studies

With large rooms at Council Road, we can easily social distance and still benefit from being together. Feel free to wear a mask in these judgement free zones!

  • Wendesday Evenings: Discerning The Voice of God by Priscilla Shirer Beginning August 26, 6:15-7:30pm in Mission Cafe. 7 sessions, $15. SIGN UP HERE!

  • Thursday Mornings: The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer Beginning August 27, 9:30-11:30am in Room 200. 7 sessions, $15 for book; Childcare available by registration only - $10 per child with $20 max. For the study and childcare, SIGN UP HERE!

ZOOM Bible Study

If you’re interested in joining either of our above Wednesday Evening or Thursday Morning studies digitally by ZOOM, please contact banks@councilroad.org now. You can watch videos with us and participate in small group homework discussions.

DVD Bible Study Rentals (*FREE!)

Not available during the times our on-campus studies meet, but still want to get in on some great teaching? We have a large selection of DVD Bible Studies you can check out *FREE of charge! See our selection under the RESOURCES tab at councilroadwomen.org. We are currently updating this page with studies by Jen Wilkin, Kelly Minter, Lisa Harper, Priscilla Shirer and more. Contact banks@councilroad.org to check these out and gather a few friends to join you. (*Free if in the OKC area.)

Online Bible Studies

If you need some viewing flexibility, there’s a great selection of Bible studies offered online with FREE teaching videos at LifeWay Women. Notice that among them are The Armor of God study we’re doing on Thursday mornings, as well as the Jesus & Women study I want to do soon.

Non DVD Bible Studies

Looking for a non DVD-driven Bible Study to do alone or with a few friends? I’ve loved Katie Orr's Focused 15 Bible Studies for Busy Women. Or check out these LifeWay Women recommendations. I have my eye on the Everyday Theology one.

Bottom Line: Bible study should happen no matter what else is happening in the world. And studying with someone else really is encouraging, enlightening and inspiring. Let’s study God’s Word together!
