Is there anything “normal” about 2020? If I’ve learned anything at all this year, it’s that we can be flexible, make adjustments and still move forward with the activities that bring us joy... and that’s exactly what we will do for our annual Karis Adop5tion Fund fundraiser, The Gift Goes On!
Listen up and read on for aaalllll the scoop that will keep you in the loop. This year it's more important than ever that you stay informed so that you don’t miss out on your favorite purchase-with-a-purpose event. Even in a pandemic, you can still shop for everyone on your list while helping families bring children into forever homes. All participating vendors and event information is up to date on the website: thegiftgoeson.com and you can also follow us on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.
Here is what you need to know about TGGO 2020:
More time to shop!
We have fabulous virtual vendors whose sites you can begin shopping on Friday, November 13 through Tuesday, November 17. As with the in-person event, 20% of those sales will go directly to Karis, when you use the code: TGGO20 at the checkout. (Some vendors won’t require a code, but those will be noted on their sites.)
Virtual silent auction on-line weekend November 13th - 15th!
No need to be distracted by bidding on auction items while shopping at the event this year! You can bid from the comfort of your home, while watching football! Some of our amazing auction items to bid on include a stay in a beautiful vacation home and items for all ages including golf, jewelry, toys, coffee, electronics, home goods, photography - and so much more!. All auction items will be listed on the website, so check them out and make your bidding plans. 100% of the proceeds from the auction go to Karis!
Raffle tickets for awesome items!
Buy a ticket for a chance to win an Apple Watch, Vitamix Blender, Ping Pong Table, or Blackstone Griddle. You may purchase tickets online or at the event. Details will be available at thegiftgoeson.com and on social media.
The live event will go on!
Barring a major spike in COVID cases, we WILL host the annual event at the Cube, Tuesday, November 17 from 4-9 pm. We have half as many in-person vendors this year (but remember we have many more virtual vendors), so that we can adequately social distance the booths and walkways, while still providing the quality shopping experience from storefronts and vendors you love. As always, 20% of all sales from the event goes directly to the Karis Adoption fund… and be sure to shop the Food Gifts, Ornaments and Simple Modern booths, as they are donating 100% of their sales. (For a complete list of our vendors, see the website).
COVID measures
Your safety is our priority and we believe we can still have a fabulous fundraiser, while being wise and considerate. We will require a mask for all who enter and ask that you stay home if you have any suspicious symptoms (remember: you can still shop on-line!). We will have masks and hand sanitizer readily available, and are asking our vendors to provide contactless payments when possible. We will limit the number of people in the building at one time but there will be plenty of food truck options available outside for you to enjoy.
As you can see, the gift will go on in 2020! We believe the Lord will continue to provide for many families in the adoption process through this event and your generosity. Follow us on social media for updates, sneak peeks, and early shopping/ordering opportunities! The website thegiftgoeson.com is your best friend this year, as it has ALL info on virtual & in-person vendors and everything else you need to know.
So.... what are you waiting for? Make your list, check it twice, and jump on board however you feel most comfortable. Let’s purchase for a purpose!
