Community For Women

Denise Keys

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” 1 John 3:16

We are a community of women where we live, work, and play together. Our community is women coming together under one roof. GOD is our protector. He protects us in all facets of life. As we go through tribulations, deaths, and our travels in this fallen world, God is our refuge and safe haven. We “be” that place where you feel wanted and needed. We love the idea of praying together, asking God to illuminate to us what he wants us to be and to convict our hearts to be better women in Christ.

Many women are out there, with no friends and family members to provide them with encouragement, a simple ear to listen. Here at Council Road Baptist Church, our women want to be your option when you are yearning to grow with God, to build lifelong relationships, and to be a conduit for support of encouragement

Connecting together with women has been a long-term goal for me. As a former Women’s Ministry Director, God gave me the gift to provide an encouraging space for all women in my life. I am always seeking ways to bring women together, no matter who they are. Do you know your spiritual gift?

Connecting with God first personally, and then as a leader, praying with and for others - I am in it, for the long haul. Living my life, the way God wants me to live. Loving and caring for others, the way he loves and cares for me. Without God, I am nothing. I don’t want to disappoint him in any way, but sometimes I do. For each woman I come in contact with, my goal is to show a caring heart and to introduce them to the ladies in our women’s ministry who can be a viable support system for their walk with God. To know Jesus is to love Jesus. Our goal as a women’s ministry is to nurture our relationship with Jesus, which in turn will aid us immensely with our relationships with one another.

Many of us pray only when things are going wrong, or we say thank you to God when we think he has answered our prayer. We must remember he is always there and we should acknowledge Him always as we all continue to grow in Christ. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Have an open Bible

  • Read and study his word

  • Pray for others

  • Lead others by our good examples

  • Communicate love as he loves us

  • Build friendships and have a mentoring attitude

The women and Women’s Ministry @ Council Road Baptist Church want you to come, grow and celebrate life with us. Are you ready? We are ready for you!
