How’s Your Bible Reading?

At the end of 2018, our Women’s Ministry Director, Vickey Banks (whom I often refer to as “Mom”), challenged us to join her in a very doable Bible Reading Plan beginning January 1st. Our hope was that women would join the reading plan, have conversations about God’s Word, and build community within our women’s ministry. We have been blown away by the participation! Over 90 women committed to the New Testament reading plan, many of which are from outside our church. Several post regularly in the “Talk It Over” section of the plan.

ALREADY COMMITTED?

For those of you who started 2019 with our reading plan, we are so glad you did! We hope you feel comforted, challenged, and encouraged that so many women are reading along with you. This reading plan is simply a stepping stone to better connecting with God and other women from our church and beyond.

Let’s ask questions, encourage one another, and study further together! We encourage you to find women outside of your circle and engage in conversation about what you are learning.

Have you fallen behind on your reading? No judgment here. To be completely honest, I am a few days behind myself. Whether you are on day 10 or day 70, we encourage you to keep going! Don’t stop just because you are behind. There is so much power in reading God’s Word alongside other believers.

WANT TO JOIN?

If you are not already participating, we still have just under 200 days left on the plan and would love for you to join us! You can start at the beginning or jump in where we are now reading. Our current schedule has us beginning the book of Acts on Sunday March 31, so that would be a great time to join in. The time commitment is minimal, but the reward is great.

We encourage you to read the “Talk It Over” section each day to see what other women are learning and to leave a comment of your own. Click Bible Reading Plan to join us as we read through the New Testament together!

Have you already joined the Women’s Bible Reading Group? What have you enjoyed most about reading God’s Word with our women’s ministry?
