A Special Invitation: 2019 Group Bible Reading Plan

It’s that time of year...time to wrap up one year and start dreaming about the next. I learned years ago that a good way for me to do this is to sit down with a pot of hot tea, my journal, and a good pen, taking a few moments to think back on the highlights of the past year and to think forward to what I’d like to see happen in the next.

THINKING BACK

Thinking through highlights of the past year helps me both savor the best parts and see what I can learn from the less pleasant ones. A definite 2018 highlight for me was doing a Bible Reading Plan with a small group of women. I don’t know that I’ve ever done this with a group for an entire year, but it was such a positive experience!

Reading in the same place and talking about it together was so interesting. Their insights and impressions really added to my personal takeaways. And knowing we were going to share with one another our own thoughts about what we were reading...well, it added some accountability that helped us all be more faithful. And not just to reading, but to taking the time to really think about and apply what we were reading to our personal lives.

A SPECIAL INVITATION

My 2018 Group Bible Reading Plan was such a positive experience that I’d love to invite you to join me in doing one together this next year!

I’ve chosen the NT 260 Reading Plan because it is super doable and includes a small, but incredibly helpful amount of commentary. By reading just one chapter a day, 5 days a week (you get free days on the weekends to catch up on your reading, if needed!), we can read the entire New Testament together in 260 days! We’ll have our own online group where we can talk about what we’re reading and learning. What a great way for us to connect with God AND each other!

Part One of the plan is for just for 90 days. Would you commit to joining us for these 90 days?

Here’s how you can join our Women’s Bible Reading Group:

  • Go to www.bible.com and download the free app (if you don’t already have it!)

  • Click here to accept my invitation to join the plan!

I would LOVE to read the Bible with you this year! Seriously, let me say that again: I WOULD LOVE TO READ THE BIBLE WITH YOU THIS YEAR!

Please, oh please join us! I can just hear my old editor scolding me for using so many exclamation marks in one article, but it makes me beyond giddy to think about how God might use the experience of a large group of us reading together!!! Seriously, think about it. The implications are beautiful!

If you join the plan after our start date of January 1st, you can choose to either just start reading the assignment for the day you join, or start at the January 1 assignment and slowly catch up on your reading. Regardless, just join the plan, start reading, and become part of our conversation! (I know, another exclamation mark...but I cannot help myself! I SOOOO want us to do this together!)

Come on... accept this invitation!
