Father, as we sit at this table we give You praise.
Many at our humble spread have felt loss this year. For them we bring grace and plead Your comfort. Oh, Prince of Peace, commune with us here.
Many at this table have felt abundance and growth this year. For them we offer sincere gratitude and request Your precious humility upon their spirits.
Many at this table ache with pain or suffering. For them we cry, “Mercy, Abba Father,” and thank You for their priceless presence here right now.
Many at this table have experienced longing, and wait in anticipation for Your movement. For them we raise our voices together, saying as one body that we await Your direction in their lives and praise You for it in advance.
Many at this table have had surprises and joyous, unexpected happenings this year. We thank You for blessing them and for choosing to glorify Yourself through their lives in this way.
Many at this table feel fearful or discouraged, though they mask it with a smile. For them we pray the courage of Joshua over their lives, and praise You for the strength You have to offer Your children.
Many at this table have wandered far from you. We ask for Your overwhelming joy to fill their spirits even now. May the conviction of sin burn so deeply within all of us that we seek You with every fiber of our being.
Many at this table have felt lonely, lost in the shuffle or isolated in the everyday. Open our hearts to these brothers and sisters, and lift them up into Your fulfilling arms.
Many at this table have been given a second chance this year. Overwhelm them with joy and gratitude as they reflect on the growth You have provided. We thank You for their restoration
All at this table have fallen short of Your glory, Lord of Creation.
All at this table have needed Your forgiveness since conception.
All at this table have been sinful, yes, even today.
And yet, all at this table can know You, Almighty Father.
And that is what we are grateful for…
Knowing You are here. Emmanuel, God with us.
