It's really hard to trust God when you don’t know what is coming next. I am a planner; I like to have control over the things in my life. It can be really difficult when I have to relinquish control or admit to myself I never had as much control as I thought I did. The last few years have been a journey of learning how to trust God when he calls me to new seasons of life.

We are all inevitably delivered moments that smother our ideals and desires. This thing called sin, it truly wreaks havoc on our world and our hearts. May is Lyme Disease Awareness month, which leads me to share about one of those staked moments I mentioned above.

New year, new you, new goals. The first week or two of the New Year is always filled with hopefulness. The Christmas cheer is still lingering and the New Year brings a sense of fresh start with it. We roll up our sleeves, think of how we want this year to be different, and write goals, intentions, and a word to live by. And within a few weeks, we realize that change is actually really REALLY hard.
